On Friday, September 25, a partnership/cooperation agreement was concluded with the Obihiro Chamber of Commerce.
Based on this agreement, education and research activities of OUAVM are merged with the commerce and industry-promoting activities performed by the Obihiro Chamber of Commerce in the local community with the aim of actively searching solutions for the issues faced by the local agriculture and food industries, and of contributing to the continued prosperity of industries in the Tokachi region of Hokkaido.
It is planned to advance with research into resource utilization and detoxification of surplus digestive juices produced as byproducts of livestock manure-based biogas plants as a way of meaningfully using such waste while solving related ecological problems through this partnership.
