Field Center of Animal Science and Agriculture
The Field Center practices the following three major activities concerning agriculture and animal science, especially dairy farming systems:
(1) practical training of university students for agriculture, animal science, and clinical veterinary medicine,
(2) research activity by university staff, and
(3) extension service for local industries, and hands-on learning for pupils of primary and junior high schools. In addition, we are striving towards “100% resource-sustainable dairy farming” in this center by the cultivation of soybeans and high-moisture corn in place of concentrate and by cultivation of rape seed for biodiesel fuel.
