The 2017 OUAVM International Exchange Party was held at Communication Hall in Kashiwa Plaza on December 1 (Fri.).
This annual event is held to express OUAVM’s appreciation to regular supporters of international students (such as related extramural organizations, local residents, faculty members and Japanese students acting as mentors) and to promote friendships with international students. This year, approximately 110 people attended.
President Kiyoshi Okuda first expressed his appreciation to related organizations for their support of international students and offered words of encouragement to such students. Student Services Section manager Yukio Maki then introduced attendees from related organizations, individual volunteers and other guests.
On behalf of the guests, OUAVM Alumni Association president Toshifumi Sunagawa gave an address and proposed a toast to open the party.
The president of the International Student Association then made an address, which was followed by the introduction of this year’s new international students and a dance performance by 10 international students from Africa.
The party’s atmosphere was friendly from start to finish. To end the event, Director Hisashi Yanagawa gave a closing address and proposed another toast.
