Director and Vice-President Noboru Inoue was bestowed the title of professor emeritus at the 60th anniversary ceremony of Mongolian University of Life Sciences held for three days from October 25 to 27 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
This honor recognizes Director Inoue’s achievements in collaborative research with the Institute of Veterinary Medicine of Mongolian University of Life Sciences and contributions to fostering young Mongolian researchers and developing their research skills through a JICA-Amed Satreps project as well as improvement on measures for controlling animal trypanosomiasis in Mongolia.
Academic exchanges between Mongolian University of Life Sciences and our university have spanned more than 20 years. The title of professor emeritus has thus far been bestowed upon five of our university’s professors—Naoyoshi Suzuki, our 11th president; Hideyuki Nagasawa, our 12th president; Morikazu Shinagawa, professor emeritus; former professor Kozo Fujisaki; and professor Ikuo Igarashi.
