Visiting to Institution of Veterinary Medicine (IVM) in Mongolia.

Report

Dr. Keisuke Suganuma (Concurrent, GAMRC) visited to IVM, Mongolia from 1st to 13th on June. We visit to Hoved province (West Mongolia) for identification of camel trypanosomes. In this field research, we could not find any trypanosomes in the camel blood samples, but we found filaria-like parasites around 7% of camels. In addition, we discussed with Prof. Battsetseg, Prof. Battur and other Mongolian researchers about trypanosome research under Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) project, entitled with Epidemiological Studies on Animal Protozoan Diseases in Mongolia and Development of Effective Diagnostics Measures.

This project is supported by JICA/AMED SATREPS until May, 2019.
