National Research Center for Protozoan Diseases has been designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as an international joint research center for controlling protozoan diseases. To accept a wide range of researchers who research protozoan diseases in Japan and abroad and further promote activities as a joint usage/research center, the Center invites applications for joint research every year.
On February 3, 2026, the presentation meeting of the Joint Research Program was held.
From among the research themes selected so far, Dr. Berdikulov Atabek (Kyrgyz Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine named after A. Duisheev), and Dr. Thillaiampalam Sivakumar (National Research Center for Protozoan Diseases) presented the results of joint research. It was a total of 35 participants, both onsite and online.
