Dr. Keisuke Suganuma (Concurrent, Research Center for Global Agromedicine) visited to Institute of Veterinary Medicine, Mongolian University of Life Science, Mongolia from 6th to 10th on August.

Report

We have revealed the current epidemic situation of animal trypanosomoses in Mongolia. The Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) project aims to develop effective diagnostic measures for animal protozoan diseases including the trypanosomoses in Mongolia. We discussed with Prof. Battsetseg, Prof. Battur, and other Mongolian researchers about trypanosome research under this project. Moreover, we discussed further collaborative researches with Prof. Bathkuu (National University of Mongolia) and Dr. Murata (Tohoku Medical and Pharmaceutical Univ.), who have many researches for Mongolian herbal plants.

This project is supported by JICA/AMED SATREPS until May, 2019.
