On July 21 and 22, 2026, the NRCPD seminar was held at PK Hall. A total of 31 researchers and students presented the results and progress of their ongoing research, including 11 specially appointed assistant professors and postdoctoral researchers, 16 doctoral students, and 4 veterinary students. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, including epidemiological studies of protozoan parasites and arthropod vectors, cellular and molecular analyses, the exploration of potential therapeutic compounds, and investigations into the mechanisms by which pathogens establish infection in their hosts.
A total of approximately 35 faculty members, staff, and students attended the seminar over the two days, and each presentation was followed by active questions and discussion. For early-career researchers and students in particular, the seminar provided an opportunity to recognize the importance of taking an interest in diverse areas of research, asking questions proactively, and continuing to broaden their knowledge. The exchange of ideas among researchers from different fields also offered new perspectives and insights that may contribute to the further development of their research.
