“3rd International Symposium on Strategies for the Control of Control of Ticks and Tick-borne Diseases” has been held on September 25, 2019, in National Research Center for Protozoan Diseases, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. A total of 63 scientists from Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Poland and Japan have participated in the symposium. Eighteen scientists have presented their latest outcomes on vector and vector-borne diseases (see program). This symposium was supported by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Core-to-Core Program and the Project for Joint Usage/Research Center from Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Japan (described by Xuenan Xuan).
