Report from UW-Madison

The second report came from Assistant Professor Goto, who did research in the Department of Animal Sciences at UW-Madison.

Report ② from Dr. Goto stay in UW-Madison

Dr. Goto is searching for the genetic loci underlying phenotypic variation in livestock animals using genome information in his collaborative research project at the Department of Animal Sciences in UW-Madison. He is doing genetic analysis of reproductive traits in dairy cattle using a next-generation sequencer (NGS) in Hasan Khatib’s Lab in the Animal Breeding and Genetics group.

On June 2017, he volunteered, with other members of the Department of Animal Sciences, in an annual two-hour highway roadside cleaning project. This volunteer activity gives graduate students an opportunity to think about how researchers in a university can contribute to society outside of the laboratory. He appreciates all the support that he received.
