Professor Reed and Mr. Krueger, researcher, from the Department of Zoology of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, visited OUAVM to conduct lectures/research exchange.
The special lecture given on February 19, 2018 by Professor Reed was about “Plant polyphenols and gut health”, intended for graduate students of the Master’s Program in Food Science, and for students of the Doctoral Program in Animal and Food Hygiene. On February 21, Mr. Krueger gave a lecture regarding “MALDI-TOF MS analysis of proanthocyanidins”.
A joint research is on-going with the researchers affiliated to the Department of Life and Food Sciences regarding the analysis and functions of Adzuki Polyphenol. At the research meeting this time, we discussed on where to newly direct our joint research to make a continuous global research come true.
