Prof. Yrjö Gröhn of College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University visited OUAVM for the Spring Workshop 2018 and research exchange.
Prof. Gröhn, one of the world’s leading authorities in the field of veterinary epidemiology and preventive veterinary medicine, visited us for the workshop and research exchange.
He gave the Cornell-Obihiro Spring Workshop 2018, “Mathematical/Epidemiological Modeling of Infectious Diseases – A Practical Workshop -”, for four days from March 26 to March 29. It was the same program as his annual workshop at Cornell University, a practical workshop to combine brief lectures and practical trainings, using the simulation software.
Additionally, Prof. Gröhn and faculty members at the Veterinary Medical Center had discussion for the joint research on the diseases of livestock in Hokkaido. We plan to continue the international joint research with him.
