On December 6, 2018, Prof.. Lorin Warnick, department chairman of College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University visited the Research Center for Global Agromedicine to discuss the renewal of academic exchange agreement and share ideas on future international collaborative projects and educational exchange between 2 institutions.
Following a courtesy visit to President Okuda, he had a meeting with Dr. Inoue and Dr.Yanagawa, vice-presidents of OUAVM, Professor Kanayama, director of the Research Center for Global Agromedicine, Dr. Kobayashi, director of veterinary research department and Dr. Kawamoto, deputy director of veterinary research department. They shared information on mutual educational and research activities, and exchanged views on the update of MOA during the meeting.
He also visited the National Research Center for Protozoan Diseases, Large Animal Hospital and Clinical Research Building and Diagnostic Center for Animal Health and Food Safety. During this site visit, he had a chance to meet a graduate student who participated in the “Summer Dairy Institute” program”, which is provided in Cornell University.
With his visit this time, we expect that Prof. Warnick gained further understanding on our faculties’ research and educational work, which will lead to further cooperation between 2 universities.
