Report of the Detachment to the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory at Cornell University

Dr. Kenichi Watanabe returned from the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory at Cornell University.

Dr. Watanabe discussed the neurological diseases of animals, such as the inclusion disease of Japanese Brown Cattle, with Prof. Andrew Miller during his second stay in Cornell University. They also launched a new collaborative research related to the local existence of virus antigen and pathogenesis regarding the Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV).

They are planning to gain knowledge that can be passed on to the field of clinical veterinary practice and the production medicine by figuring out the pathogenesis of such diseases gradually. A part of the study result will be reported at the international academic conference held in November 2018.
