過去38年間にわたって馬(サラブレッド)の臨床獣医師として仕事をしてきました。1992年に社台ホースクリニックを創設し以来一万頭を超える馬の外科手術を行ってきました。その経験と知識を大学での馬の診療・研究・教育に生かしていければと考えています。

本学の動物医療センター産業動物診療科には馬の二次診療や外科手術を行うために、診療室・麻酔導入/覚醒室・手術室・入院(術後・集中治療)馬房などの施設があり、レントゲン(DR)・超音波・内視鏡・CTなどの画像診断装置を駆使し的確な診断を行い、それに基づく治療・外科手術を行えるようになっています。
また、往診や来院による馬の一次診療や画像診断装置を搭載した画像診断車による往診も可能となっています
このような施設と設備を利用して、多くのサラブレッドの外科手術や診療で培われた技術と知識や経験をもとに、馬の様々な疾患に対する診断・治療(外科手術)水準のさらなる向上を図ることならびに実際の馬の診療を通して馬の臨床獣医学の教育と啓蒙を行うことが私の研究の目的です

自己紹介
I've been working with thoroughbred horses as a clinical vet for the last 38 years. Since the establishment of the Shadai Horse Clinic in 1992, I've performed surgery on more than 10,000 horses. I hope to make the most of my experience and knowledge in medical care, research and education regarding horses at the university.

The Large Animal Clinic of the university's Veterinary Medical Center has facilities for secondary medical care and surgery of horses, including a clinic, an anesthesia/emergency room, an operating room and a stall for hospitalized horses (after surgery or intensive care). X-ray (DR), ultrasonic, endoscopic, CT and other diagnostic imaging devices are used to make definitive diagnoses, based on which treatment and surgery are conducted.
Primary medical care for horses can be provided by veterinarian visits or the delivery of horses to the clinic. Visits by a car equipped with diagnostic imaging devices are also available.
My research aims to further improve the diagnostic and treatment (surgery) standards for various horse conditions and to provide education and enlightenment in clinical veterinary medicine involving horses using the aforementioned facilities and equipment and based on the skills, knowledge experience gained through surgery and the care of many thoroughbreds through the care of horses.
