これまで主に英語教育、第二言語学習、教育技術を中心に研究・教育に携わってきました。崇城大学では英語カリキュラムの設計・運営やMoodleを活用した学習環境の構築、教員の教育・研究支援などを担当しました。現在は、英語を使いながら専門分野を学び、学生が自律的に学び続けられる環境づくりに関心を持っています。趣味はサッカー、園芸、アクアポニックスです。

私の研究は、第二言語学習者がどのようにコミュニケーション能力を発達させるのか、また、その発達を支援する学習環境をどのように構築できるのかという問いを中心に進めてきました。現在は特に、学習者が自分の持っている英語の知識を活用して、実際のコミュニケーションに参加することに関心があります。外国語を話すことは、長年学習した後に初めて到達する目標ではなく、話すことそのものが言語を学ぶ過程の一部だと考えています。そのため、学習者が安心して英語を使い、互いに意味を伝え合うことのできる教室環境や、発話を促す活動・課題の設計について研究しています。また、学習者が自ら目標を設定し、練習や振り返りを通して主体的に学習を続けられる環境にも関心を持っています。これまでのカリキュラム開発・運営の経験を生かし、Moodleなどの教育技術やオンライン学習環境を活用しながら、授業内外で継続的な言語学習を支援する方法を探究しています。今後は、こうした学習環境と教育実践を結び付け、学生が英語を使いながら学び、学びながらさらに英語でコミュニケーションできるようになるための教育のあり方を研究していきたいと考えています。

英語は、教室で学ぶだけのものではありません。農業・畜産・獣医学の分野でも、世界の研究や技術を知り、海外の人と交流するための大切な道具になります。私は、英語を使いながら学ぶこと、MoodleなどのICTを活用して自分で学び続けることを大切にしています。自分の専門分野に興味を持ち、その知識を英語でも発信できる力を一緒に身につけていきましょう。

I have worked mainly in English education, second-language learning, and educational technology. At Sojo University, I was involved in the design and coordination of the English curriculum, the development of learning environments using Moodle, and support for faculty teaching and research. I am currently interested in creating learning environments in which students can learn about their fields through English and continue learning independently. Outside the university, I enjoy soccer, gardening, and aquaponics.

My research focuses on how second-language learners develop communicative competence and how learning environments can be designed to support that development. I am particularly interested in how learners can use the English they already know to participate in meaningful spoken interaction. I believe that speaking a foreign language is not simply a goal reached after years of study; speaking is itself part of the process through which languages are learned. My research therefore explores how classroom interaction, activities, and tasks can create opportunities for learners to use English, communicate meaning, and develop their communicative abilities. I am also interested in learner autonomy and in creating environments in which students can set their own goals, practise, reflect on their learning, and continue developing beyond the classroom. Building on my experience in curriculum development and coordination, I explore how educational technologies such as Moodle and online learning environments can support sustained language learning inside and outside the classroom. Going forward, I aim to investigate how learning environments and teaching practices can be connected to help students learn by using English and, through that experience, become increasingly capable and confident communicators.
