If you wish to receive University’s Recommendation for MEXT scholarship, please read through the Application Guide carefully. Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine (OUAVM) is allowed to nominate at most two applicants to MEXT.

| February 13, 2023 | Application documents must be submitted to OUAVM. |
| Mid-March, 2023 |
OUAVM will select 2 nominees. OUAVM announces internal screening results to applicants. OUAVM recommend 2 students under the University Recommendation scheme to MEXT. |
| June, 2023 |
MEXT notifies scholarship results to OUAVM. OUAVM notifies applicants of their scholarship selection results. |
| Sep-Oct, 2023 | Scholar travel to Japan on a date designated by OUAVM. |
| October 1, 2023 | The Fall semester begins and scholars begin their studies at OUAVM as a Research Student. |
