Animal Medical Center
As a teaching hospital, this facility is managed by staff and faculty who perform
regular examination and treatment of animals reared in the University Field Center,
as well as those brought in from various outlying communities. As such, it provides
an excellent practical/hands-on clinical training ground for students and
researchers of the School of Veterinary Medicine. Students and research trainees are
taught how to perform animal examination/evaluation, including diagnosis and
treatment. Clinical findings and research related information are presented and
discussed during clinical seminars. Compared to similar facilities in other
universities, more large animals, such as cattle and horses, are treated in this
