1949 University Farm and University Library established
1953 Department of General Agriculture established
1953 Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital established
1960 Two-Year Course in Animal Husbandry established
1961 Department of Agricultural Chemistry established
1963 Department of Agricultural Engineering established
1964 Department of Grassland Science established
1966 Department of General Agriculture abolished
1967 Graduate School established with three Master's Programs: Veterinary Medicine, Dairy Science, and Agricultural Chemistry

1994 Doctoral Program in Agriculture in consortium with The United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Iwate University, implemented
1994 Master's Programs in Animal Science, Agricultural Chemistry, Grassland Science, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Economics, and AgroEnvironmental Science underwent curricular review, and amended as Master's Programs in Animal Production & Agricultural Economics, Agro-Environmental Science, and Bioresource Chemistry
1996 Cooperative Research Center established
1997 Department of Bioresource Chemistry renamed Department of

2000 Research Center for Protozoan Molecular Immunology accorded a national stature and re-established as the National Research Center for Protozoan Diseases

2002 The Center for Faculty Educational Affairs established
2002 Major educational and research restructuring implemented, with the establishment of the Schools of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture, and the Departments of Animal Production & Agricultural Economics, Agro-Environmental Science, and Bioresource Science reorganized and integrated with the School of Agriculture

2012 The Cooperative Veterinary Education Program is established by the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine and the Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine, Hokkaido University.
2014 Reseaech Center for Animal Hygine and Food Safety into Diagnostic Center for Animal Health and Food Safety.
